Hey everyone! Lots of broadway news to share this week…

Be More Chill, originally an off-broadway show, began previews on the main stage of Broadway at the Lyceum Theater.

The show had and still is a big talk. To find out more about it, check out the musical of the week down below.  

Also in recent news, Frozen on Broadway had four new actors step in. Ryann Redmond, now playing Olaf, Joe Carroll now playing Hans and Noah J Rickets now playing Kristof. Ryan Redmond is a female taking on the role of Olaf, a male lead. Very happy to see some diversity in the broadway community 🙂

As well as that, Soshana Bean, a past broadway actress has announced she will be stepping in as the role of Jenna in Waitress.

And, our final news of the day, though this happened quite a while ago, Andrew Feldman, a 16year old, recently began the role of Evan Hansen I the very successful show Dear Evan Hansen.

Musical of the Week

This weeks musical is Be More Chill. The show is about an average teenage boy, Jeremy Heere. Jeremy and his best friend Micheal try their best to survive high school like any other kid, but, when Jeremy encounters a technologic pill called “The Squip”. After his cool classmate Rich gives it to him, his whole life changes. He becomes popular, cool and noticed. But, like every bad decision, there always has to come a consequence. Jeremy and Micheal drift apart. Will Jeremy realize he doesn’t need tone cool? Will he stay cool and lose his very best friend? Only one way to find out… the show opens March 10th but previews are continuing now. Be More Chill, directed by Stephen Brackett and the show developed by Chase Brock’s book.
