Knightly News

5th grade

The 5th grade is currently making characters and writing a story about them. In Science they are learning about atoms and how they affect the universe and everything around us today. In math they are learning about shapes and perimeters while using estimations to get closer to the answers. In art they are learning how to print ink drawings in different colors.

6th grade

The 6th grade recently went to Ashokan along with the 5th graders and hopefully had an amazing time. Ashokan is a nature reserve that you learn a lot in and is a great experience overall. The 6th grade are jumping into medieval life and religions but till then they are doing lots of hard work and we all are very excited to see all the plague posters soon to come.

7th grade

The 7th grade recently went to Williamsburg Virginia to learn about the first English colony in 1607. The 7th graders took many interviews and notes that they got on the trip and transformed it to note-cards. In science they have been learning about forces and architecture along with different types of loads and a lot of things that affect New York today. In math the 7th grade has been graphing and learning about how two shapes can be similar. In art they have been learning about pencil value and have almost completed their eye drawings.

8th grade

The 8th grade went to DC to learn more about social justice. As most of you know the 8th grade does a very big project every year were they pick a topic that they think would help our society. They We all appreciate the time and effort it takes for them to learn and research all their information. Hopefully the DC trip had taught them a lot.
