1) Go Apple Picking!

Even though it’s just the start of fall, apples go fast. You can go with a friend, or family. Some local farms to go near us are Apple Ridge Orchards, Barton Orchards, and Mr, Davies farm. Apple picking is a great way to embrace the fall weather and take a little break from the city to see all of the country!

2) Enjoy a Picnic!

Summer Picnics are super fun, but how about a fall picnic? Take a friend or a family member to a park near you. Make sure you bring a basket with some food, and enjoy! Maybe bring a game or two, and try to cherish the fall weather! Hot chocolate anyone?

3) Stargazing!

Stargazing is perfect for any weather but when it gets too cold, it can be tough. Also since we live in the city it’s kind of hard. If you have a roof or a balcony in your apartment great, but if you don’t The High Line hosts stargazing every Tuesday night throughout October. The event is free and open to the public, with members of the Amateur Astronomers Association of New York to explain what you’re seeing

4) Play Outside!

Since we are approaching mid-fall, the sports played outside are starting to end, as it’s getting colder, and colder! Enjoy the last few months of fall to round up some of your friends and play games and  sports in one of New York’s best parks!
