Beginning of the year advisor meetings

Dear Families:

We ask each family to schedule a conference with your child’s advisor during the first full week of school (9/12-9/16), at either 8:10am or 8:25am. The advisor lists are posted when the summer mailing goes out. At that point, the lists will be posted and you can sign up for a conference.

As reported in the handbook, the purpose of this meeting is to:

provide an opportunity for your child’s advisor to meet with you to introduce her/himself and for you to learn more about her/his role as an advocate and liaison. This meeting will provide all parties with an un-charged, friendly environment to get to know each other. It is also a chance to establish connections and set goals. This is especially useful for new families and for fifth and sixth grade families as the meeting will provide you with a sense of what is new and what to expect. This meeting will also provide a chance for families to discuss any goals or concerns that they may have. All students are expected to participate in these meetings.
