Infographic Reflection

During this project I learned  many interesting facts about NYC. I learned that 2 million New Yorkers are under the age of eighteen and that half  of the New Yorkers speak a different language at home.

A skill I learned during this project was to mask in photoshop. Before I had hardly ever had touched photoshop and I was extremely unfamiliar  with it. Now I can use it independently for other projects.

I loved this  project because we got to work in groups and explore different softwares. It was cool to be able to work with people I don’t normally work with. The Photoshop was cool because for a long time I’ve been wanting to use Photoshop but I wasn’t able to use it because I didn’t know how to work it. I also enjoyed Adobe Illustrator because it was like one of the softwares I was very used to so it sort of felt familiar even though I’d never used it before.

I would really want to use these programs more often because they  have a lot to offer, more than I have already discovered. I also think that new softwares that are better or good for other uses are worth learning too, so we have a variety of options for the future.

Infographics were fun to make, so I would like to do something like this again, even if it isn’t the exact same thing.

I think this project was incredibly simple when you knew what you were doing, but when we were trying to figure out how to do something, many people had difficulties.

I especially liked helping other people when I had got a grasp of the assessment.  That was probably the best part because it was really nice to inspire and help people discover what new things like I had discovered, so they could learn all the cool things I had learned, and maybe re-explaining instructions to make them more understandable. (Even though we had very handy instructions in our d lab folders.)
