These are my cousins from California. On the left we have Harry and Dino. Dino is the one siting down and Harry is the one standing up. Harry is almost six and Dino is sixteen. In the middle we have Julia who has nobody on her lap. Julia is thirteen. In the very middle we have me and Theo. I am twelve and Theo is three. On the right we have my sister Eloise, Sasha and Tyler. The one that is in the back is Sasha, and she is eight. Eloise is the one sitting down holding Tyler. Eloise is fifteen and Tyler is our newest member and he is almost two. Those are my cousins and I love spending time with them!!!!!!!

 

In the beginning of the book, there were two main characters: one was Danny and the other was his dad. The mom had died and that was very sad. One night Danny’s dad went off into the woods without telling him. Danny woke up in the middle of the night thinking, Where was his father? He was so scared, so he stayed up and waited. Eventually Danny’s dad came back and told him where he was. He said he was in the woods poaching for pheasants. He said that pheasants are birds that are really yummy to eat. After a while he asked Danny if he could go poaching tonight. Danny said sure. So his father told him that he was going to be back at eleven. Danny woke up at eleven and did not find his dad so he drove the car that he and his father made to find him. He found him on the ground holding his ankles. Danny asked what happened and he said that he fell into the hole and broke his ankle. So Danny brought his dad back to the car and he drove them home. He ended up telling him that Mr. Hazel owned that land and put booby traps so nobody poached his birds. So Danny’s father got a doctor to come over to his house. When the doctor was finished, he felt better. He got these red pills that he did not need to use. So Danny had a great idea to take all the birds away from Mr. Hazel. The idea is to put all the pills on the ground so the birds would peck at them and fall asleep. They were sleeping pills. So they went to the woods and sprinkled them all over the woods and went into the bushes and waited till the birds came down to eat them. They eventually went down and ate them and then went back up into the trees to fall asleep. Then the birds started falling off the trees because of the sleeping pills, so Danny and his father picked them all up and went home. When he got home he offered them to other people. But when they all came over which was a week after, the pills started to wear off. So all the birds flew into Danny and his father’s land, not Mr. Hazel’s area. Then Mr. Hazel came up in his car and saw all his pheasants on the ground of Danny and his father’s property. So he got the police man and it was a big fight. After all of it Danny and his father flew them off and they disappeared into the moonlight. I did enjoy the book and I would recommend it to someone who likes funny, suspenseful, and .
