Ashokan Trip

This year we went to Ashokan for a school trip again. In this photo we were heading to the blacksmith shop. That was one of the most interesting things we did at Ashokan to me. We also went on the gorge hike like we did last year. One of my favorite parts of the gorge hike is the deer trail. It is a steep trail that was created by deer to get to the water.  I learned a lot about the blacksmith and the history of Ashokan. There were a lot of stories about the history too. This year instead of the birds of prey show there was a reptile show. We also did a drum circle and we did some games for Olympics. Last year we didn’t get to do blacksmithing or get to see the reptile show.

My Reading and Writing Timeline

The project I am most proud of this year is my reading and writing timeline. In this assignment we had to make a timeline of our reading experience and writing experience. We had to put things that were milestones in our reading and writing. We had to write about our reading and writing styles. I was very proud of how I used my space and made everything look neat. I think I explained how each milestone was important. It wasn’t crammed or to spaced out.

IMG_1072This is one of the first math homework assignments this year. All my problems were crammed together and I had no room to show more work or edit the problems. Now that I have spread out my work I have room to add on and it is easier to check. It is important that I spread out my work and really focus instead of trying to fit each problem into a little box. In the future I hope I will continue to spread out my work because its important that I can edit.
