My essay writing

My essay was about how stereotypes are built into peoples heads and in the book American Born Chinese by Gene Luen Yang. My thesis and my evidence were pretty good and on point. I do need to work on my analysis because it was too repetitive and I didn´t reflect enough.

Winter Break

During winter break I went the holy land of Isreal. In Isreal, we did a lot of things we started off in Tel Aviv then went up to the north. We went to the Syrian and Leabon boarder and went to an Olive Oil factory. Then we went to Jerusalem. In Jerusalem, we visited in the old city and the western wall. We also went to Yad Vashem which was a very sad experience. During the trip, we walked around a lot and saw a lot of towns. Towards the end of the trip, we went to Masada which we climbed it was lots of fun. Then right after we went to the dead sea which was very cool to float around. I went with my family, cousins, and grandparents.

After School lil 14

After school, I have some activities. On Monday I like to come home after a snack because it’s a Monday and I’m tired because I don’t get a lot of sleep on Sundays. On Tuesday I usually hang out with my friends unless we have a game. On Wednesday I have basketball practice and on Thursday and Friday, I’m free.  Last year I had a more packed schedule because I had to study for my Bar Mitzvah and had other activities. This year I’m a lot more free. I like this because it gives me time to get my homework done and hang out with my friends.

Now that the basketball season is starting I’m becoming interested in getting better. I play on two teams. The first one is the school team and the other is one outside of school. For the one outside of school we are in league for the winter then in the spring we participate in tournaments in New Jersey and Long Island. I am learning how to get better every time I play. I really want to get better this year and that’s my form of learning that I’m engaged by. By the end of the year I hope to get better.
