My First Photoshop Project

This is my photoshop project. At first, I started with just Grace and Io on the plane but I added Stella, Piper, and the pug towards the end. I think I definitely used contrast because of how the white shoes contrast with the dark plane and background. I think that I also used proportion because of how Stella and Piper’s heads are smaller than Io and Grace as if they were planets behind them. I think that also created a harmony and balance because of where they are placed. This also gave the piece a sense of motion. I think the background helped with this because of how the colorful part is in the center.

My Final Eye Project

I would like to name this work Olivia’s Eye. I created this work of art by using a blending stumpĀ and different pencils to create value. Some of the things I learned while creating it were how to use the different pencils and how to make certain parts of my drawing pop out. My favorite part is the eyelashes on the right, top part of my eye. If I could change something about it I would put more detail into the iris. I say that because there is so much detail in my photograph that I didn’t include. While making it I was surprised about how well it turned out! I never thought that I was capable of making something like this and I pleasantly surprised myself! Something else I would like to share about this artwork is how much fun it was creating it. I can’t wait for more projects like this in the future!

Drawing My Value Chart

When starting my value chart, I had to make sure everything was centered. What I did first was I measured how much space was in each margin on the original value chart and I applied that to my own. I also had to make the amount of space in between each row the same. Once I made the marks for where my lines were going to go, I took out my ruler and made four 9-inch lines for the top of each row. Then, I drew 1 1/2 inch lines down on each row to create my boxes. After that, I completed my boxes by drawing the last 9-inch line and started to put the different drawing techniques in each box which each different pencil. That is how I made my value chart!
