Not a “Real” Bake Sale

I’m selling Nutella dipped strawberries and Rice Krispie treats with Dora, Olivia P, my sister Clarissa, and my dad. We are doing a bake sale in front of the restaurant Morini. We are a block away from my building. I feel like we are not going to sell that many things because the Nutella strawberries look bad. The Nutella is all over the Saran wrap and the Nutella strawberries are smushed. But the strawberries will not be bad because Nutella is so good.

Earlier when we were making the Rice Krispies treats and Nutella dipped strawberries, I felt bad for Olivia because the Nutella looked so good to her and she really wanted to try it but she couldn’t, because she is allergic to nuts. We wanted to make Rice Krispie treats, so my dad helped us make them. We wanted to sell something other than just Rice Krispie treats so we made Nutella strawberries too.

Back at the sidewalk in front of the restaurant, someone stops by and they want to buy something. Two other people come by and they buy two Rice Krispie treats. They give us more than they are supposed to.

We get extra money but we do not sell that much. We sold one Nutella strawberry and five Rice Krispie treats at the end. I remember that our first customer bought a Rice Krispie treat also. Olivia noticed that the person was enjoying it.

Olivia’s mom comes on her bicycle and picks Olivia up. We give Olivia four dollars when she leaves.  Dora, Clarissa, my dad, and I walk along the street and we see a long line outside of a pretend cafe. The cafe was from a show called f-r-i-e-n-d-s. My dad said that the owners of the show made a copy of the cafe that the main characters always go to in the show.  Many people love the show, f-r-i-e-n-d-s so they came to New York to see the cafe. The people can actually go to the cafe and order coffee. I am not sure, but I think they can eat or drink at the cafe.

My dad thinks that we could sell many things if we walk along the line. We go along the line and one man gives us some money for not even getting something. We walk the whole line but do not sell all of our things.

At the end we split our money. Earlier we gave Olivia four dollars.  Dora, Clarissa, I all get six dollars. Then Dora has to be picked up too and the sleepover is over. We earned twenty two dollars in total.
