Fyre The Greatest Party That Never Happened is a documentary about the Fyre Festival. The Fyre Festival was supposed to be like Coachella and have many artist. Though, those dream villas weren’t quite what people were told they were.
- Hulu also made a documentary about the Fyre Festival. Hulu’s was called Fyre Fraud. I think they were both exciting to watch, but the Netflix one was more entertaining in my opinion.
- Maryann Rolle, the caterer of the 2017 Fyre Festival was scammed out of her life savings. The owner of Fyre Festival did not pay her so she payed the catering staff with her own life savings. After the Netflix documentary came out she raised $160,000 on a go fund me.
- Before Fyre Festival even happened, celeberties like Kendall Kardashian and Bella Hadid had posted pictures on their instagram. The stat that they did not know the whole Festival would be a scam.
- The owners (Ja Rule and someone named Billy) initially did not mean to scam people, but they couldn’t pull the Festival together in time. Instead of having villas with nice furniture, they used hurricane tents that only had beds inside.
- After Fyre Festival happened many people that were on the list started receiving very sketchy emails. Emails saying you could have lunch with Lebron James, or meet and greets with Taylor Swift.
