The latest fashion trend is mom jeans, coincidently mother’s day just past. Mom jeans were first known referred to as normal and were popular in the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. The trend started with the Brooke Shields’ controversial “Nothing Gets Between Me and My Calvins” but in the early 2000’s celebrities started wearing the opposite. They Wore tight low rise jeans with a three-inch zipper. Basically, the only people who wore high waisted jeans were older and probably a mom. It wasn’t until 2003 then tina fey posted about them when the nine-inch zipper started its redemption. But still, mostly moms agreed with the trend. In early 2013 we noticed that Topshop was selling a pair of mom jeans and we wondered if anyone would wear them. Both Urban Outfitters and ASOS are currently selling pants that contain “Mom Jeans” in the description. These jeans are not only back, but, like, very very popular.The style of mom jeans is high waisted and tight around the waist but loose throughout the legs. 90’s fashion is making a comeback.
