YOUNG VOTERS
This election had been crazy for many. Especially millennials and first time voters. We know Trump won fair and square but if only millennials voted, we would be having our first women president. Clinton would have gotten 504 Electoral College votes while Trump would have received 23. 270 is the amount you need to win. The blue in the photo below represents Clinton, and red Trump. Clintons ideas were obviously very appealing to young voters rather than trumps whose ideas appealed more to the older age groups. I think this is because Clinton supports equal rights for everyone, which appeals more the younger generation, through Trumps supporters are more against that due to their past and being ignorant on the way the world is changing, or not accepting of change. In future elections, the candidates running for president should reflect on how Clinton was approaching these topics. If they do they will really capture the millennial vote. Why is this important? Well the current “young voters” will be older and wiser. But still stand for what they believed in. Also there will be plenty of new young voters that will pretty much feel the same way. Watch out America, young voters are going to take the lead!
