The 5th graders are finally adjusting to the middle school experience. It was a big change from lower school but most have gotten used to it. Some of the things they have have gotten comfortable with are, where the classes are, and who the teachers are. Having lockers and desks instead of sitting on the carpet in a circle. Receiving more freedom, having recess before lunch, and going to classes on their own, etc. On the other hand the 5th graders are getting ready to go to Ashokan, (yay!) They leave on Wednesday October nineteenth, which is only two days away, at 8:15 A.M. There are many mixed emotions going around. Some people are excited, nervous, scared, happy, sad, and/or all of the above. Everyone is packing and once that is done, we’re ready to go!
