Pinhole Camera Project

Pinhole Camera Project

As part of the 9th grade arts rotation, all 9th graders take a photography class. One of the highlights of the class is the opportunity to make your own pinhole camera, take photographs with it, and develop them in the darkroom.  Pinhole cameras are light tight except for a small hole in one side that acts as the shutter of the camera.  They can be made out of almost anything, even paper!  Light passes through the single hole and projects an inverted image onto the photographic paper.
