Monthly Archives: December 2007

Thursday, December 6

1. Read and annotate “Stereotyping” article from Facing History and Ourselves. Answer five questions at the end thoroughly and carefully–typed or handwritten legibly–on a separate sheet of paper.

2. Compose four interview questions for Friday’s special guest, Salley Williamson. Two of the questions should address growing up in South Carolina, “the deep South.” Two of the questions should address living in Montana. You may not ask inappropriate questions, but you may ask thoughtful personal questions. Salley has read Montana 1948 so you can refer to it. Write these four questions out. I will check them in morning homeroom!

1. Complete Montana 1948 Journal Entry #5, typed in 12 point font and double spaced. In short: Definition, part of speech, and meaningful sentence for each of five vocab words, read pages 66-82, and analyze quotation as explained in the handout.

2. Core A and Core B–bring independent reading books to school for special afternoon independent reading session. You should have read 7-8 books independently at this point in the year AND ENTERED THEM INTO THE READING LOG ON MY DESK!
