Your French responses sheet about the visual aspect of your project was due yesterday. If I did not get it, you already lost one point. It will continue to lose a point per day until it is not handed in. We will begin a new unit next week. Until then, review how to conjugate a regular -ER verb. Be ready to conjugate as soon as you come into the class next time! Look in your textbook and notes for the verb structures.

Please be sure that I have your third Roman Numeral paragraph by tomorrow if you did not give it to me today. I must have it no later than 11 AM for it to be counted as on time. You can put it on my desk. I will try to have a labeled folder for you, but if you do not see it, make sure that your name is on your work and that I will easily see it on my desk. The conclusion can be given to me on Monday. You need to have two to three sentences that restate your topics and what you have concluded about these ideas, as well as two or three sentences about what you learned, how you feel about the this subject, and if you would visit the place, read the books of the author, etc. For example, “Jean-Paul Sartre was one of the most interesting French writers in the 20th century because of his fascinating life, his wide group of friends, and the topics that he wrote about. Paris was a center for literature, art and music in the 19th and 20th centuries, and Sartre played an important role in this era. I am looking forward to reading some of his books in translation because I learned about the literary movement of existentialism and the importance it had on all of modern French literature. I would also love to go to the famous cafes in Paris where Jean-Paul Sartre spent a lot of his time.”

1. You should be working on the rough draft of your paper. The introduction and the first Roman Numeral (I) section should have been handed in today. If you did not do that, this aspect of the project is late. 2. Be sure to catch up if you are behind as well as complete the writing out of your second Roman Numeral (II) section. Everyone needs to have all of this done by tomorrow. 3. The complete Rough Draft (except for the conclusion) must be handed in to me no later than Thursday afternoon so that I can get it back to you by Friday. 4. Corrections will be made over the weekend so that you can have a Final Draft including a conclusion by the beginning of next week. 5. Turn in a proposal about your visual idea no later than Wednesday.

F6: Come to class tomorrow with a few ideas about your project topics. We will spend a little time doing some research.   L6: Same as F6, except by next Monday you need to have 2 definite topics that interest you as well as reasons why, written out in a proposal. For example: I would like to do my project on the topic of children’s fashion at the court of Louis the Fourteenth during 17th century France.
