No homework tonight. We will have our first test next Wednesday. Study all of the pages that were on the blog yesterday.

le 6 octobre

L6/F6:
Your first Unit Test of this year will be next Tuesday and Wednesday for L6 and Wednesday and Thursday for F6.
You will be assessed on your listening, speaking and writing skills.
We began practicing today with the activities on p. 67 in the textbook.
Your homework for tomorrow is to complete actvities 5 and 6 on p. 67 and be ready to go over them tomorrow.
You should start spending 10 minutes a day studying for the test. Don’t wait until the night before!

Keep on working on the food and drink vocabulary. Spelling does count! We will be having a test in a few weeks!  For both L6 and F6, be sure to  bring your workbooks (petit cahiers) to class next time. 

F6: In the text, do p. 46, act. 1

L6: We will go over this on Monday, so if you didn’t complete it in class, do it for homework.

Test tomorrow for L6 and Thursday for F6. Written part of project due tomorrow for everyone. Cooked dishes next Monday-Wednesday.

L6: You will have your test on Wednesday. F6: Your test is on Thursday. Please be ready to conjugate ETRE and regular -ER verbs that we have studied already. Know the 3 uses of ETRE and how to use it in a sentence. Be prepared to answer questions that have the interrogative expressions in them (question words: qui, comment, pourquoi, ou, quand, a quelle heure; check the textbook for the proper accents.) There will be some writing, some speaking, some listening, and some conjugating.  L6 AND F6: Your written projects are due on Wednesday. This includes in this order 1. a cover page, 2. the history and geography of the dish as well as the answers to the personal questions, 3. the recipe in French and English with the ingredients in both languages, 4. the list of the verbs and the cognates in your recipe.You will bring in food on Monday and Tuesday of next week.

Both sections of the 6th grade will have the final assessment on Wednesday of next week. This includes the verbs that you have been studying as well as the question words. The test will not be long, but it will demonstrate your understanding of the material. See previous blogs for more details if you have questions.You should have completed the written part of your project by now except for the French questions that I will give to you next week. We will plan on cooking very soon! All reflections should be emailed to me already.

Your title page with the picture of the map, the ingredients, and the cooked dish should be completed by Thursday if you are in F6 and Wednesday (today) if you are in L6. All facts, the story/history, and the recipe in French and English (and ingredients) should also be done by the end of this week.In the textbook, complete activity 7, p.109 for next time.

For Monday, (L6) bring your recipe to class with all of the underlined and circled words (verbs and cognates) as well as the history and any story related to this dish. We will be working with the French and English versions of your recipe during the class, so please have an English copy as well when you walk into the classroom.      F6: This is due on Tuesday.             ATTENTION: We will be having a test on the same material as the quiz we had this week, as well as all -ER verbs and their meanings that we have studied this year. Please begin to review these topics. The test will be in about two weeks.
