Each group will present on Thursday. You will be graded on your pronunciation as well as your written piece.

Regarding Extra Credit: I need a written proposal by Thursday if you are planning to prepare a French recipe for next Monday. Follow the guidelines on pages 416 and 417 in the textbook. If you gave me your book already, you can come get it if you need it!

Your Un Ete proposals are due tomorrow. Also, be sure to hand in chapter 16-20 in Un Ete.

le 16 mai

Both classes:

For Friday, I need ALL of the chapters in Un Ete that were covered since the last test: 16-20, including the vocabulary. If you are missing some chapters, you need to work on them this week.

Chapter 20 should include A,B,C and F.

For Thursday: You need to write a proposal for your top two ideas for your Un Ete final chapter that you will be writing. This will count as a major project this quarter, and will include both written and oral components.

There may be up to 3 people in a group, but the more people, the more lines! This will be in a dialog format.

Both classes:

1. Your Passe Compose Test is next Monday. This will cover all of the VANDERTRAMPP verbs, including conjugation, usage, agreement rules, and meaning.

Refer to your handouts and the textbook, as well as your notes.

2. Un Ete: You should have completed chapitre 19, exercises A, B, C and E as well as chapitre 20, exercises A and B by Friday at the beginning of the class. We will work on finishing the book in class on Friday.

Tomorrow we will review for the test (CPS8). JMM8 did that today during the class.

1. Everyone should have their drafts of their journal back by now. If you have any questions, be sure to see me before Friday.

Your final project is due next Monday, May 2 at the beginning of the class. This includes the typed sentences and the pictures that illustrate the topics.

You need to include the introductory paragraph that is in the future proche. Please get it from me before Friday afternoon.

A title in French, your name, and the date in French are to be on the front of the book.

2. Complete the textbook work that was begun in class today.

le 25 avril

Both classes:

Finish reading Un Ete chapter 19 and complete the vocabulary and exercises A and B. This is due tomorrow.

You should be working on your final drafts of the France trip journal. I have a few more to return. Pictures should be picked out and ready to put into the book by the end of this week. Final copies of the entire project are due on Monday, May 2.

le 11 avril

Both classes:

1. Read Un Ete, chapitre 17, underline and look up vocab., and be ready for a discussion in French tomorrow.

2. Refer to the blog from the beginning of last week if you need to see the 10 guideline questions for the project. I handed out copies already.

By Wednesday, everyone needs to hand me a rough draft of all of your responses to the questions. This should come to AT LEAST 40 sentences (a lot of you have been asking me numerous times about the length)

That is the equivalent of 4 sentences per question. I am actually expecting more than that from most of you!

Details and correct grammar are expected. If you are in CPS8, please give these to me in person by the end of the day, even though we do not have class together. I am giving you the extra day after we meet tomorrow to finish this.

Typed or hand-written (neat) versions should be double-spaced so I can write comments.

You should be organizing your pictures as well.

If you wanted Extra Credit, you needed to have sent your recording to Matt by this afternoon!

le 6 avril

If you have class today (Momii’s class),  you are to work on these questions and I will check your progress tomorrow. You need to have answered at least 5 of the questions in detail by the beginning of the class tomorrow. You should have your pictures chosen as well, which I may ask to see. They should reflect the details that you include in your journal based on the following questions.

Sarah’s class: Your homework is to work on 3 of these questions and have them ready to look at during tomorrow’s class.

You should use the following questions as guidelines for the writing process.
