M8: Due Friday

You have two assignments for Friday. Please read the following directions carefully.

1. In the textbook, read pages 302 and 303. Then, write out 2 questions in full sentences in French about EACH person’s information that you read. There will be a total of 10 questions.This will be shared in the class as we discuss the answers to these questions that you write.

Be sure to write in the 3rd person (il/elle) and be ready to also answer the questions (in other words, there needs to be a real answer within the reading) if I ask you to do so. You do not need to write out the answers, however. You do need to indicate that you understood the paragraphs.

2. Either begin or continue to work on gathering information from the French websites “La Redoute” and “Les Trois Suisses”. You need to find two items of clothing from each store and keep track of the information that is on the chart on page 301 (except for the “pour qui” section.)

Next, find two American clothing store websites and search for a comparison; if you are interested in a sophisticated jacket in a specific style in a French store, try to to find one like it in an American store, etc. Find American versions of the French items if you can, and write down the information on the chart that you make.

You should have a total of 8 items when you are done. You will be writing a comparative paragraph using this information during another class.
