SO SORRY THAT I FORGOT TO PRESS PUBLISH YESTERDAY!
Due Thursday, October 25

1. Your #2 Civil War letter! Be sure to begin by answering your partner’s first letter and then going on to engage in literary gossip about the reading you’ve done in your book since then. Use the proper format detailed in your packet and remember it is required that you are ready to hand in to copies: one to your partner and one to me AT 8:20.

2. Make notes according to the agreement you made with your group on 1 or 2 sections  with the circle around them from Chapter 15 from America Is.  This is in preparation for the “Can WE Save the Union?” activity that will take place in class tomorrow. You are required to be the expert on the material you make notes on.

3. Bring in a list of 5 ideas for compromise that you think could save the Union. Be clear about what your side wants, what it is willing to give up, and what the other side wants. You may use portions of the other compromises you are studying and add in other items as well. Be ready to negotiate with your fellow Senators to design a comprehensive compromise to keep the Union united.  IT’S UP TO YOU TO AVERT WAR!!
