Due Tuesday:

1. Trip to National Book Awards! Bring your lunch, your book, and a question for the author of the book you are reading for our trip to the National Book Award Press conference–we leave at 9:30 on Tuesday. You will want to bring your book with you as you will have a chance to meet the author and have him/her sign your book.

2. Civil War Letter #4 due at 8:20AM with 2 copies printed out.

3. Vocab Quiz! On Lincoln words 1-20 from chapters 3 & 4. HERE ARE THE CORRECTED definitions and sentences.  You must know how to define the word, give the part of speech, and be able to use it a sentence that demonstrates its meaning.  Remember: use the meaning that matches the word’s use in the book.

Due Wednesday: 

*Irwin Scholar Applications due at 4 PM!

1.Symbolic representation of TBAS ch. 6 due today!

2. Make sure you have your writer’s notebook in school!

3. Read the packet “Nonfiction” with three pieces by former students and fill out the sheet on top according to the directions. Bring this with you to writer’s workshop.
