Your personal narrative writing piece, 1st draft.  This should be a maximum of 3 pages, double spaced and typed up, printed before class begins.

Remember, all the gathering we have done means you have lots of ideas for this piece in your writer’s notebook!  The one you choose to expand should be something you want to write about and something that means something to you. Also, bear in mind Anne Lamott’s idea of the one inch picture frame.  Just zoom in on one moment (which will represent a larger experience–as it did with our author today) and use specifics and the 5 senses to paint a picture for the reader.

If you have not completed the work on the “Stereotyping” handout, be sure you do so by Monday.
