_ Last Kid Out of the Building – They just won’t leave!

Dear LREI Community,

Goodbye to the 2016-2017 school year!  While all good things must come to an end, we are sorry to see you go.   This has been such a terrific year.  We accomplished a great deal as an institution and our students, all 670 of them, did likewise.  One of the great privileges of my role is to see the growth in LREI’s students as they move through the year, month by month, and as they move through the school, year by year.  The power of hard work, on the kids’ part and by the faculty and staff of LREI, is seen in the students’ achievements. The lasting power of their progressive experience builds as they move through the school, culminating in the seniors’ college choices and the joyous Commencement celebration.

Thank you, LREI families, for all that you do for LREI, for the school, for our students, for our teachers and staff.  Thank you, faculty and staff, for your dedicated and committed efforts on behalf of the community. And, finally, thank you students for your critical thinking, your creativity, your courage, and your citizenship.

If your family is not returning to LREI in fall, please keep in touch.  We love visitors.

To all, have a wonderful summer.  Enjoy your time together as a family, maybe a slower pace, maybe just different challenges.  Find time to partake in the experience that summer brings.  Take a moment to look back at the year’s successes, and to look ahead at the opportunities that are coming our way.

Warmly, with gratitude and pride,

Phil
