I hope that you had a relaxing time and that your family’s return to the work-a-day world of school was not too jarring.
The end of March and the beginning of April are important moments for our seniors. As they returned from Break, the seniors embarked on their Senior Projects. These projects—independent studies, internships, group projects—will occupy our 12th graders until commencement.
This week also brought news of college admissions. We are so proud of the terrific list of acceptances from which the students will choose. The list is as varied and as interesting as the class is—large schools, small schools, schools close to home and far away. The list is made up of private colleges and public universities, a good number of liberal arts colleges, schools that lean to the technical end of the spectrum and excellent arts schools. Our students have been offered seats in a variety of specific programs within the colleges of their choice and have earned significant merit scholarships. I know you all join me in congratulating the Class of 2015!
Please join Director of College Guidance Carey Socol and a panel of seniors to learn about LREI’s college guidance process. This meeting will be held on Monday, May 4th at 8:45 a.m. in the Sixth Avenue cafeteria. (This meeting was originally scheduled for April 13 and has been rescheduled for May 4.)
What follows is a partial list of schools to which our students have been accepted. Additional acceptances come in each day. A complete list of acceptances, as well as a list of the schools in which the students have chosen to enroll, will be distributed in a few weeks.
