Write the problems on loose paper
Answer the questions on a separate loose sheet of paper
Bring the recipe cards to class, too.

This practice set is for you to work on over the week. You should do a few problems each day. It is in addition to your homework. You should not wait until the last minute.
You will have a practice set almost every week.
Complete the work neatly on loose graph paper, write the answers on the practice set. Staple your work to the back of the practice set.

On a separate piece of paper solve the problems you wrote using decimals as the remainder. It’s like you are making a test and an answer sheet.

Adding fractions with unlike denominators
1/6 + 1/8
Find the LCM of the denominators.
Example. The LCM of 6 and 8 is 24
2. Change the fractions to the equivalent fractions using the LCM as the denominator.
Example. 1/6 = 4/24. 1/8 = 3/24
3. Add your new fractions.
Example. 4/24 + 3/24 = 7/24
4. simplify if needed.
