Q: I’m scared for finals week since I’m a freshman. Do you have any advice regarding finals week?

A: Finals can be very nerve-racking, especially your first ones; however, if you study and prepare well for them, they won’t be so bad. Your teachers will probably start discussing what your final exam will be soon, if they haven’t already. If you have an essay or a test you should look through your notes from the past trimester as a refresher of all the information you’ve learned. Try not to stress yourself out too much because when you get stressed, you become unorganized and become more discouraged, which causes you to get less work done–which in turn makes you more stressed. Make study guides, get a planner, do everything you need to feel as prepared and organized as possible. By feeling prepared, you will go into finals more confident, which should also improve your performance.

Hope I could help 🙂
