Q: How do I communicate with my teachers that I’m struggling in class because of outside/ emotional problems?

A: If you feel comfortable enough to do so, you can ask your teacher if you can meet with them, and you can voice your concerns about your emotional problems. This way you can figure out, with the help of your teacher, how to balance your emotional well being and your school work. If you feel more comfortable speaking to your advisor, you can do the same with them, and they can talk to your teacher for you or with you. If you feel more comfortable talking to your parents, you can do the same and have them talk to your advisor or teacher. If there is a specific teacher you feel comfortable talking to that is neither the teacher you need to speak with or your advisor, you can reach out to them and I’m sure they’d be willing to help you. If you feel that emotional and outside problems are negatively affecting your school work you should talk to someone and seek help. It would also be a good idea to seek help about your emotional/outside problems, for this you can go to the school psychologist or talk to someone you are close to and trust.

Hope I could help 🙂
