Update Reminder (second)

Dear Students,

Just a reminder that the second update for your honors project is due by Friday, 5/28. This update should provide an overview of work you’ve done to date and reflection on any key learnings. If you have any accompanying media or your work/process, you should add this as well.

A reminder that the update should be added directly to your project page. When you log into the blog dashboard and click on “posts” in the left sidebar you should see your post. Alternatively, if you are logged in to the blog and go to your project page, you should see an edit link in the top menu.
If you don’t have the link for your page, you can search for the page by entering your name or the project title. You can also look through all the recent posts (http://blog.lrei.org/honors-projects/recent-posts/) to find yours.

Keep in mind that in addition to the project’s stated final product, you will also need to document this work as a final update on the website and produce a community-facing poster or some other display or performance that highlights your work. Information about how to create the poster can be found here.
A reminder as you enter weeks 7-9 (5/31-6/9):
  • At this point, the bulk of your inquiry work should be completed and you are now shifting your focus to think about how best to tell the story of your work.
  • In most cases, your approved project identified a final product (e.g., research paper, creative writing, web site, photos, videos, a performance, etc.). Now is the time to make this your primary focus.
  • As your final “product” takes shape, you also need to think about how you will share this work/learning in poster form or some other display/exhibit/performance and as a final update to your blog post. Information about how to create the poster can be found here.
  • Your meetings with your project mentor are focused on identifying a clear plan for when and how this work will be done.
  • Continue to document your work and reflect on how things are going in the “Weeks 7-9” section of your blog page.
  • Update your Honors Project Pathway form.
All work needs to be submitted by Monday, June 7.
