Project by: Samuel Beacher (10th Grade)
Project Advisor: Adele de Biasi Pelz
Student(s)’s Advisor(s): Sergei Mikhelson

Description of the Project: Making three different recipes of baguettes and talking over learning the recipe and making it in French. I then edited the footage together to create an informative French cooking show. See below for poster, videos, the final reflection, and recipes!

Final Poster:

Final Reflection on Learning:

Update on Progress from Weeks 1-3 (include any photos or video if relevant):

So far, I have baked the first recipe of baguettes as well as edited and uploaded a youtube video about them. Here is the video:

I have also made the second recipe, it turned out much better than the first! I have not finished editing the second video but am almost done. But week 6 I will have filmed the third baguette recipe.

Update on Progress from Weeks 4-6 (include any photos or video if relevant):

After the first six weeks, I have finished making and editing both baguette videos! I have posted all three on this youtube channel and here are the separate links:

By the end of the trimester, I will have compiled all of the recipes and wrote a synopsis of how I thought each recipe went, which one I liked the most, and which one I might make in the future.

Update on Progress from Weeks 7-9 (include any photos or video if relevant):

Here is the link to the final project poster! In the past two weeks, I have also written a reflection and all three recipes used in french at this link. If you want to see the reflection and recipes, but don’t speak French, follow this link! This project was super fun, and I will surely be using the second recipe to make baguettes in the future!

  1. Great videos, Sam! Very proud of your baking achievements. The baguettes look extremely tasty! And the way you present them in French is so stylish!
