Description of the Project:
Final Product (e.g., documents, images, video, audio, poster, display, etc.):
Final Reflection on Learning:
Update on Progress from Weeks 1-6 (include any photos or video if relevant):
In the first weeks of this trimester, I observed and drew plants that were around my house. The forms that result will be used to inspire architectural form and different functions of buildings. This is an essential part of being an architect, as some of the most successful architects use seemingly unrelated objects to inspire breathtaking forms and functions that couldn’t have been created in a vacuum.
Here are some of my drawings:
Update on Progress from Weeks 7-9 (include any photos or video if relevant):
In the last few weeks of the trimester, I did more observational studies of things around my home. This eventually turned into my doing studies of mechanisms like latches and knobs which I could find in my home. With the functions and forms that I observed in these objects, I began to create designs for buildings and spaces which can transform, following the needs of the user.

Update on T2 work:
Over the second trimester there were some issues with gaining the materials needed for building models, so James and I decided to work on my drawing abilities. Every week I was tasked with drawing a couple of objects which I found structurally and visually interesting. This added to my repertoire of architectural shapes to draw on, and drastically improved my drawing abilities, both of which are important to being able to design buildings.
Here are a few examples:

Update on T1 work:
This project has greatly expanded how I deal with architecture and has made me able to create more cohesive and well inspired architectural concepts and drawings. This trimester I delved further into Conceptualizing and thinking about how what I created fits into the larger scheme of architecture. I learned how to move between concepts and how to advance and perfect ideas meaningfully. This has advanced to a point where I have a well thought out idea, which next trimester I will perfect and create a scale model.

T2 PROJECT PROPOSAL
Please write a description of the project you are proposing. Why do you want to take this on, and what do you hope to learn?
I will be further exploring architecture, hopefully creating concepts and learning way that I can effectively show them.
Critical thinking, creativity, citizenship and courage are essential LREI learning values. Explain how you’ll draw on at least one of these values to complete your proposed project?
I will be creative in the creation of a new idea in the form of a building, and I will critically think about how buildings are built and the way we interact with them.
What is your proposed outcome? How will you be able to demonstrate successful completion of this Project? How do you plan to share your learnings with the larger LREI community (e.g., exhibit of work, poster of learnings, performance, etc.)?
I hope to have a thought of concept of a building, and to be better at drawing and creating buildings.
Please provide a general outline that indicates your work plan for the trimester? What are some of the key project benchmarks (i.e., goals that will help to ensure that you finish the project)?
Making multiple concept drawings, creating at least one thought through building, and which has limitations which will shape it.
When do you plan on meeting?
About once a week or whenever I have completed a larger benchmark.

T1 PROJECT PROPOSAL
Please write a description of the project you are proposing. Why do you want to take this on, and what do you hope to learn?
I want to continue the work I was doing last trimester, and plan to make models and go further with my designs this trimester. Doing this I hope to make homes that can do important things and which take ideas from past architects and advance them.
Critical thinking, creativity, citizenship and courage are essential LREI learning values. Explain how you’ll draw on at least one of these values to complete your proposed project?
I will critically think about the way houses and people interact, and will creatively build around that and create homes.
What is your proposed outcome? How will you be able to demonstrate successful completion of this Project? How do you plan to share your learnings with the larger LREI community (e.g., exhibit of work, poster of learnings, performance, etc.)?
I want to have a completed model by the end of the trimester and hope to start to do site-specific buildings. Along with all this, I hope to be able to go deeper into the intricacies of building buildings and to understand the things that they need to do.
Please provide a general outline that indicates your work plan for the trimester? What are some of the key project benchmarks (i.e., goals that will help to ensure that you finish the project)?
I want to start by making a more precise design of a design I did last trimester, and then making a model out of it. Then I want to make more designs and models, but I’m not sure how I will go about that.
When do you plan on meeting?
About once a week.
