Today the world looks to street fashion to find the answer for how to market luxury to young people. How to get young people to care about things other than their phones, and how to reinvent aging iconic brands. This project is our journey to study the most important cultures and sub cultures and how they, hustled, scrapped and occasionally swaggered their way to the top. Our media is word and picture. Our goal is to pull from the photo archives to demonstrate the influences and then have some fun ourselves in how we interpret things in our lives and personal styles today with photographs that we shot.

What is the end goal here? Who are you taking pictures of? Who is your audience? Are you researching ‘fashion’ and if so what materials will you be using? Maybe Bill Cunningham may be an inspiration? (https://www.nytimes.com/by/bill-cunningham)
When you say you will “be creating outfits” do you mean that you will be sewing these by hand? If not, right now it only seems like you’re taking some pictures of your friends and posting them on Instagram, which is perfectly fine, but there needs to be more for this to be an honors project.
We are going to be practicing our digital photography and editing skills through taking photos of something we are both interested in.
TRIMESTER 1 PROPOSAL:
Please write a description of the project you are proposing. Why do you want to take this on, and what do you hope to learn?
We want to create a digital photo honors project which focuses on fashion. We will be creating outfits and traveling around the city while taking photos in creative locations. We will create an instagram account posting these photos and then later making a photo album of all the outfits.
What is your proposed outcome? How will you be able to demonstrate successful completion of this Project?
Our end goal is to create a photo album/ book of all the outfits.
