Project by: Kellin Hostler-Burrows, 11th Grade

Project Teacher: Susan Now

This trimester I worked on a book containing photos from my trip to Guatemala in June. I found myself taking a lot of scenic photos. Throughout the trimester Susan advised me on how edit my photos with Photoshop. Primarily I used Photoshop to adjust the images for printing and for tonal consistency. I also learned how to create a action on Photoshop. She helped me sort through my photos and and choose the ones that would work best for my book. Once I had all the photos I wanted then she taught me how to layout a book using the software BookWright.

I will have a hard copy of the book once it comes in the mail. Here are some of the photos I chose for my book:

Please write a description of the project you are proposing. Why do you want to take this on, and what do you hope to learn?

I plan to showcase my work from my travels to Guatemala and Europe through creating a digital book/blog or maybe both. I want to learn more about storytelling through sequencing of images.

What is your proposed outcome? How will you be able to demonstrate successful completion of this Project?

To have a digital book/blog by the end.
