Personal Project
The personal project will culminate in the unique contribution/perspective that you will bring to the Medieval Pageant.
While we will all share insights about the city that we build in Minecraft with visitors to our guild, but the evening will also call on you to share about an area of expertise. To do this, you will need to:
- Refine your character’s story so that you are comfortable sharing with guests as your character. It is not enough to share what you have learned, you’ll also need to do this in character. Your character will provide the background and context for your sharing.
- A focused area of study related to stonemasonary or related building techniques. My suggestion is that you review the videos here and choose a particular aspect that really interests you.
- Your research in area #2 should lead you to a very focused aspect of the work that you can share. To do this you will likely need to create items for your “workshop” so that you can demonstrate the work. Visitors to the guild will meet you “at work.” What tools and materials will you need? What will you be doing with them as you talk to your visitors? What will you wear?
Use the space below to record information for these important components:
Your Story
In the space below, expand on your original character story or start a new one. You should be able to talk about your family, background and how you came to an interest in stonemasonry and building.

My Area of Study
In the space below, record notes about your area of focus. You might want to include links to webpages with relevant information, photos and videos. Ultimately, you should reduce this information to the main ideas that you’ll want to convey to visitors to the guild.
