My Name: Piers Mason

My Story:

(In the space below, describe the story of how you came to the guild and your specific area of work focus): My Dad and my grandfather before him were both Masters at this Craft, so I didn’t have much of a choice.

My Job:

(In the space below, describe the specific kind of work ` you do)
I am a Stonemason and Stonemason’s are important because . . .
they are responsible for all these amazing structures some who still stand today.
(add your response here)
I mostly help with the design of the structure. Help make blueprints for the carvers. I am the apprentice of the master mason I often help him with the plans.

(Add a couple of pictures that show the kind of work you do)

To do this work, I use the following kinds of tools:

Pencil and a Compass

(describe the tools and include few images of them)

Some other related and interesting facts about building cities, castles, churches and/or mosques that I plan to share with visitors to our guild:

(add 5-10 key ideas or learning)

  • The basic thoughts behind the design of a cathedral
  • The difference between Romanesque churches and Gothic Cathedrals
  • The Design of a castle
When visitors visit me in the guild this is what I plan to do doing as a way to show them about my work: I think I will be using a pencil and a compass to draw a design for the other masons.

(describe your shoppe and what you’ll be doing)

In order to do this, I’ll need to create the following materials:
Pencil, a Compass, and a piece of parchment
To make the piece of parchment I will follow these Steps from the internet:
Steps
  1. Brew a cup of strong coffee, almost black, depending on how dark you want your paper to be.
  2. Take a piece of paper and crumple it.
  3. Gently unfold it.
  4. Dip a cotton ball in the cup of warm coffee and evenly distribute it throughout the paper.

(materials list and plan for creating my “props.” You may want to include some images that you can use for inspiration.)

For my costume, I plan to . . .
Get a costume at the medieval store near my house

(description of your costume and how you plan to create it)
