1.    IRB

2.    Give your peer back his/her poem & peer conferencing worksheet so s/he can edit it for tomorrow.  Make sure you save ALL your work because it will be collected in a portfolio.

3.    Next Literature Circle meets on Thursday.  Get a FOUR.  Period.

4.    Print out and annotate the Tea Ceremony ditto (under pages to the left).  We will cover this tomorrow.

5.    Read the missing page from the Japanese Feudalism handout.

2.    Start your Literature Circle work.  Lynne and I are grading each section you complete.  Ask yourself how you can get a “4” on your next job.  For example, maybe a “Pop-up” for illustrator or a video (youtube?) that connects to the work as connector, etc.
3.    Lizzy’s Current Event Thursday morning.
4.    Bring in your favorite typed poem for Peer Conferencing.
5.    Frank will be out ☹ tomorrow.  He has been subpoenaed to testify (again!).  I will be giving you peer conferencing work to do.  Make sure you bring in your best poem to go over with a friend.

My Babushkas!  I’m sorry I’ve been sick.  I should be back tomorrow.  I’ve been trying to post a little video for you but there have been technical difficulties.  I’m sure Janice already told you the following, but I want to reiterate…tonight:

1. IRB
2. Good Words due tomorrow (expect a Good Word quiz Monday)
3. We will do test prep when I get back (hopefully tomorrow) and the test will be two school days later – so if I get back tomorrow and we finish the test prep, the test will be on Monday.
4. Continue prepping your Booktalks and Current Events.  I have really high expectations because this is your last round of each of them.  Make sure you pick topics that you really understand and can discuss.  I’ll be available Mondays at Recess for any group that needs help – just tell me ahead of time!

Spring Break HW!

1. IRB

2. Prep your Booktalks.  Check “Due Dates” in pages if you forgot when you are presenting.  Also, the “New Booktalk Rubric” is up in pages as well.  You can print out your rubric there.

3. Bring in a Current Event (there are some suggested links in pages under “Current Events”) and make sure you have enough copies for everyone in your group to read it.

4. Wednesday will be our Islam test.  Study sessions will be Monday and (part of) Tuesday.

3. Write a reflection about your character in the Medieval Pageant.  What are some curious, compelling and important things about him/her/it?  You can make up a history/back story, write a diary entry from his/her point of view, write a response as a stage critic, etc.
