4. Bring in your Broadsheet #3 and #4 to review tomorrow in class.

5. Look over the Summer Reading list.  Consider which books you love, found challenging, and add suggestions if you have them.

2.    Good Word Quiz Tuesday (words below)
3.    Peace Treaty:
Look over your notes when composing your section of the peace treaty.  Each group has been given a specific section to work on.  Make sure you flesh out your Article fully.  Remember, we are trying to be fair to the Christians but do not forget you are a Muslim whose land has just been invaded.  We would be quite upset about this especially considering we ruled the whole land before the Crusaders arrived.

Make sure to touch base with people in your group.  Your section MUST be typed and bring in enough copies so that everyone in the class can read it.  Email an electronic version of it to yourself so we can copy and paste the pieces to form a draft of the treaty.

Your final written response will be due on Friday, 2/8. You must respond to the entire book, not just the passage you read previously. Discuss elements of the book you liked, disliked, things that surprised you, things you agreed or disagreed with, character development, conflict, the author’s writing style, etc. These are all things you will discuss in your weekly responses, but this is a response to the whole book. In this response, I would also like you to reflect on the experience you had in literature circles. Some things to discuss are as follows: what went well, didn’t go well, what role did you most enjoy or find rewarding, what was difficult, how did you and your group solve conflicts and deal with challenges, what was it like to set your own schedule and assignments, what did you learn etc? Go into detail and be specific.
