Plot:
Lily is a dragon who has lived in peace on a big stretch of land that is the home of a variety of animals and magical creatures (elves, fairies, pixies, etc.). Lily is the only dragon in the forest, and has had a hard time making friends. She is not your normal fire-breathing dragon that hordes treasure, and the other creatures of the forest often dismiss or underestimate her. Still, Lily loves the forest when she finds out that King Arthur is going to chop down all the trees to build Camelot she decides to take action! Lily tries to rally all the animals and woodland fairies to protest against King Arthur. Sadly, the animals and fairies don’t take Lily seriously despite her warnings of the impending danger. How will she mobilize the creatures of the forest and convince King Arthur to stop his deforestation plans.
(2)Luca, Sam S. Lachlan, Justine, Sarah & Wim
Plot:
King Arthur and his Knights of the Round table have decided to build what will become the legendary Camelot on a large stretch of forest. There is an old tale of a ferocious dragon that lives in that part of the realm, though. There are several knights tell a short, short story about the dragon – each one depicting the dragon as more vicious and dangerous than the other. In the end, King Arthur and his Knights ride off to face the beast.
*Common Thread: Both Group 1 & 2 are dealing with the same dragon and have conflicting visions for the same plot of forest. Obviously, the dragon is not dangerous or mean.
(3)Lucy, Julia, Isabel B, Isabel W, Stella Rose
Plot:
Marigold is a wizard in training and wants be as great at magic as Merlin. She is scared that she will not be allowed into the wizards’ elite academy to study because no girl has ever been accepted before. Time and time again, Marigold has faced discrimination because of she is a girl. She poses as a boy and is accepted to the magic academy. There she learns how to read, write and the magical arts – all things girls are forbidden to do. Marigold knows that if she is found out she risks banishment from Camelot. How can she change people’s opinion of women and get King Arthur to help women’s rights?
*Common Thread: Marigold creates a magical paintbrush after she learns a spell in class. The teacher warns the students the next day about abusing magic and Marigold throws away the brush hoping it will be lost forever. The peasant’s wife from group 4 finds this brush and brings it to her husband.
(4)Jack, Charlotte, Ayden & Lauren
Plot:
A peasant artist realizes that one of his paintbrushes allows him to create real things. He is eager to rise up the feudal ranks and stop living the life of a peasant, but King Arthur refuses to grant him audience mostly because he doesn’t like his type of modern art. The artist, feeling dismissed and desperate, starts to paint each one of Arthur’s knights into masterpiece paintings. One by one, each of the Knights of the Round Table disappear. The painter’s wife realizes what is happening and it is up to her and their children to stop him.
