Question: Was Jamestown an innocent until proven guilty system?
Answer: Since Jamestown was under Martial law, normal rights weren’t the same. “You are still considered innocent until thought guilty, but it’s not exactly proof. In other words, if two of the three officers think you’re probably guilty, then you will be executed or punished,” (Quote from Williamsburg reenactor). A lot of the Colonists lost their rights because of Martial law.

About Kate

Hi, I'm Kate! I'm part of the equality in sports social justice group. Our goal is to help create and maintain a society where everyone can be an athlete. Even though I'm not an athlete myself, throughout this project I have learned that sports help keep you fit, raise focus, build teamwork skills, and (obviously) allow you to have fun. Everyone should be able to experience this, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or anything else.
