Acting For Opposites
by Rhonda Hayter
Abbie Adams is having trouble keeping her secret, her family comes down from a long line of witches. So when she gets the main role in her play, a girl who does not believe in magic, she is shocked. She looks up to her Aunt Sophie who is a witch/actress. Aunt Sophie then visits Abbie and talks about her experience as an actress and how Abbie can play her role and practice. Her aunt then quickly leaves and scurries back to her movie, which she froze. Then Abbie realizes she has to practice being the opposite of who she really is. This is important because Abbie now has to be the opposite of who she really is without revealing her secret.
I liked your use of vocabulary and how you described Abbie.
