We have just finished creating our zoetropes, here is my response to the following questions about this experience.

1)Q-What is happening in your zoetrope?

A- In my zoetrope that I have created it is a girl brushing her hair. First she has messy hair that is tangled, (this is supposed to represent her in the morning.). Then gradually as the zoetrope moves, it become sleek and nice. It shows how brushing your hair affects your appearance!

2)Q- Did you like this project? Why/whynot?

A-I did enjoy creating this project. I liked the idea of being an animator of one small strip for a period of time. Zoetropes are very interesting. I have seen them before but I never really had known how they work. It was very fascinating and very fun, I am so happy I got the experience to learn/create a zoetrope!

3)Q-Is this an example of your best work? Why or Why not?

A- This is an example of hardest work, but it doesn’t mean it turned out exactly how I wanted it too. I really did try to capture all the aspects of the zoetrope, sometimes I would get a little distracted in class, but I always went right back to work after I realized I was going off track.  I think I should have picked something a little easier to draw because I would have gotten more done faster, and I wouldn’t be rushing, but it is what it is. In all I am proud of my work, but next time I want to focus a little better, a pick something that’s a little easier to draw over and over.

4)Q-How, if at all, will you work differently in your next problem?

A- How I will work differently next time is pick a project idea that suits how much time we have. We did have a lot of time to work on our zoetropes, but I felt that I picked something that was hard to draw in that limit of time over and over. Also I feel I should have made up my mind faster. I had 10 different ideas for the zoetrope, and I felt overwhelmed so I went making a draft for this one and that one and I just realized how much time I was wasting. Now I know to manage my skill and time better. This has been an awesome experience learning about zoetropes. I really have enjoyed it.
