Shark Tank Simulation
The goal of the game was for every speeches to stay alive and for none of them to die out. What mostly happened was the shark didn’t eat enough minnows and then then the minnows ate too much seaweed. But then all of them got extinct because there was not enough for all of the minnows to get food and eventually all of them died. We did this simulation because we wanted to have a better idea how a speeches can all die out and get extinct
Blog post
I think that they shouldn’t make the key to unlock all the phones. I think that everyone should have their privacy and not for someone to just look at your credit card numbers and a lot of other stuff if someone gets a hold of it. The coach of the Bills (nfl team) someone got into his privacy and told the news that he liked woman feet. It’s a weird thing of his and not for everyone to know. They also can’t unwrite the software so if someone at apple were to be greedy and sell it could get bad.
Bud, not Buddy Book partnership
Drew and I read Bud, not Buddy. Our partnership was really good because we both work really well together. Also I liked the book and Drew did too so that made it easier to talk about the book. I’m proud that I took a lot of time on my homework and really did a good job on it . One challenge for me was understanding everything in the book. What I mean is some parts in the book there was a lot going on and I had to read the chunk in the book a couple times to really understand it.
Docent Talk
My experience giving my docent talk at The Brooklyn Museum was good. Good because I knew a lot about my topic and it was fun sharing it with other people. Also I felt that everyone was listening to me and really paying attention and not asking questions while I was talking. I felt disappointed because there wasn’t any non human mummies there so I couldn’t show what their tomb were like. One thing I learned about note-taking is to read in chunks and then write in your own words what you understood. When it comes to taking notes, I used to look at the book when I not take , but now I put the book down and really try to understand what the paragraph is saying. One thing that is still challenging for me about note taking is writing in complete sentences.
Gun violence
I would like to talk about Gun violence, a topic that everyone is talking about even presidential candidates. Gun violence is a person threatening someone with a gun, hitting someone with a gun, shooting someone living with a gun, and last but not least suicide.
This has always been important but has more in the conversation lately due to recent events. This is very important to me because I’ve heard stories about kids killing kids. police officers killing innocent people which led to people killing police officers. This is very bad for society and gives me a stomach ache every time I hear about this kind of things happening.
Math
This is a assessment that we had for math that has multiplication and division. The front was challenging because you had to pick the problem an solve it. The back was easier for me you had to do a division problem. The 1st quarter of math was not that fun. I think we could had more doing stuff like make our own problem for someone else to do. But some parts were fun like making our own problem. So I want to do more stuff like that later in the year.
Shelter building
This is my shelter I made with Anna. I chose this one to write about because my partner and I did a really good job of and I’m proud of it. A challenge for me was putting the leaves on the shelter. They wouldn’t stick. So what we did was put a brown strip of felt and put it across them to help them stick. One thing that I really worked hard on was making the door. None of the wood would stick and it took so long but I finally did it. A learning habit I focused on was collaboration. I think I did a really good job with that because we made a really cool shelter. Also in the start we had different ideas for the shelter but we later agreed.
