Zoetrope
This is my Zoetrope. It is an animation where you draw a bunch of little pictures.You spin it really fast and it makes the animation. It spins in a cylinder that has holes in it so when look through the holes, and the cylinder is spinning it looks like a animation. I learned useful ways to fill in the space, like drawing little circles. I think this is an example of my best work, I worked really hard on it.
What I Am Proud Of From The Last Half Of The Year
I am proud of working hard on spelling. Before I wasn’t as ready for the tests and now I
am. I think I improved on it a lot.
Goals For The New Year
List of new year goals
- study more for french tests

This is my math quiz. I am proud of it. I am proud of it because I think I did pretty good. I worked hard on it. I was challenged by question six because I was little confused. I think I have improved on prime factorizations.
Ashokan trip
This is the pond at Ashokan. During one of our classes we went here and tried to find macro invertebrates.
My Atom
In science we are learning about the parts of an atom. We had to make a model of an atom. The different parts are the neutrons and protons are the ones in the middle, and the electrons are the ones in orbit around the protons and neutrons. To get the numbers of each you have to subtract the atomic number (the number in the top right corner) from the atomic mass (the number on the bottom) then that is the number of electrons. The atomic number and mass of a hydrogen atom are one, so that means that the number of electrons is one because they have to cancel out each other. There is one proton because the atomic number is one. So on my atom there is one proton and one electron.
Math End Of Quarter Assessment
I am proud that I learned new math methods. I was surprised because I thought the game 24 was going to be harder. I enjoyed playing fun math games like the factor game. I was challenged by long division. my plan to improve is to practice at home.
Human Computer
In d.lab we pretended to be a computer. There was peripherals, bios, ram, hard drive, fan, cpu, and users. I was ram( random access memory). I noticed that after the computer virus came it was much harder. I learned that a computer has to do lots of things a second. I would have liked to try hard drive.
My Font
I like that my font is 3-d. My first draft was much different then how it is now. The theme to my font is 3-d. My font does not have a name.
Personal Narrative
When I first got my cat she got scared and mostly hid from us. She hid behind my brothers bed. We got a cardboard cat scratcher. One time my sitter came over to my house. We went to my room where the cat scratcher was. He thought the cat scratcher was stable to sit on so he sat on it and it broke in half. After that we did not get another cardboard cat scratcher at the pet store. My cat is pretty friendly now. At night she is really energetic and wants to play with us, but in the day she is really lazy and lies around on the carpet. When lots of people come over she hides under my parents bed. Sometimes when we go away, our neighbor takes care of her and gets her toys. Now Tsuki is really friendly with us.
This is how we got her… Once I was with my friend at the park and mom came to pick me up. She said she had a surprise for me. We walked from the park to near my house, she said we were really close to the suprise. I kept on walking until I saw a truck. It was an animal adoption truck! She said we might be able to get a pet. I felt myself filling up with excitement. I saw my dad and my brother next to the truck. We went inside the adoption truck, it was filled with cats and dogs. We looked around for a while until we finally decided to get a black cat we saw. We went to the pet store to get cat food and supplies. We went to sign the form and the person told us that she was found on the beach after hurricane Sandy. We brought her home and gave her food. At first she got scared so she mostly hid from us. We named her Tsuki which means moon in Japanese. At first when we got her she was really small but now she is really big. She is three years old now.
I chose this because I worked really hard on it and revised it a lot. A challenge for me was adding on to the sentence that we had to choose, we were supposed to choose a sentence that we had to add on to. I had to work hard on adding lots of details. For my personal narrative I had to work on perseverance.
