A Tale Dark And Grimm
I read a book called A Tale Dark And Grimm. It describes in detail Hansel and Gretel’s adventures before and after the story with the baker woman. Originally, Hansel and Gretel were Royal and lived with the King and Queen in the kingdom of Grimm. The King and Queen had an old servant named Faithful Johannes who was a servant for generations. The story goes into gruesome detail about how Hansel and Gretel go through a lot of adventures such as dying and coming back to life, escaping from the baker woman, surviving on their own in the woods, slaying a dragon and, reuniting with their royal parents.

The One and Only Ivan
I read a book called The One and Only Ivan. Ivan is a Gorilla who lived in the Exit 8 Big Top Mall and Video Arcade. He lived in a huge cage for a decade. Every night in the mall Ivan and his animal friends put on a show for the public, and after the show Ivan’s human friend, Julia came and drew pictures for him. Before Ivan lived in the mall he had a family in Africa. His family loved and cared for him, but one day humans came and separated him and his family. He got put in a box with his twin sister and was sent to the mall. Unfortunately, Ivan’s sister died in the box. Mack the manager of the mall opened the box and put him in the cage. His best friend was an Elephant named Stella who had a permanent leg injury and a lost dog named Bob, who lived with him in his cage. Before Stella died, another Elephant named Ruby came and took Stella’s place and Ivan promised to get Ruby and himself out of the Mall. Ivan was an artist who drew pictures so, he decided to draw a zoo and write home on the top. Everyone saw this and a zoo eventually brought boxes to send all the animals in the Big Top Mall to a zoo where people would treat them better.

Memoir
This is my memoir that I made in writing. Hope you all like it!
I hate when you find out that you did something for the last time. It makes you feel sad. Then you realize that you forgot how lucky you are to do those things. Like the time when my dad got another job and we couldn’t go to New York Knicks games on the floor seats. Or when I had to leave my favorite soccer team. I thought that I would grow up with those traditions but when my dad told me, I then knew and I felt sad.
When I was very little like 3 to 7 my dad and I would go to the New York Knickerbockers games. Every 3 or so weeks, I would put on a Nate Robinson jersey and go to the game. My mom stayed home and rarely came with us. An awesome part was that our seats were on the floor so sometimes when the game came back on TV after a commercial break I would show up on TV! My mom stayed home to watch the game and taped it so now I can always go on my TV and watch the commentators say my name. Once I saw one of the games and the commentators announced all the famous celebrities at the game and then at the end he said me. Somehow they learned my name. It was creepy but cool. I always thought I would grow up going to Knick games. Then, one day my dad got an offer for a better job. My last floor seat Knicks game I didn’t know it would be the last. I thought it would be like any other game. My favorite moment was when the actual Nate Robinson picked me up and hugged me because he saw that I was wearing his jersey. It was one of the happiest moments of my life.
Going to those games were very fun.
But thankfully the games weren’t the only fun things in my life. On weekends I went upstate with my family and sometimes had a guest. The only reason I went up was to go to my soccer games with my team called Bethlehem. I had nice and good teammates and a great coach that let me miss practice because my house was in the city, and practice was right after school so I couldn’t drive up 2 hours just for practice.
It was the quarter finals of the NY cup. Bethlehem, an Albany team vs Metropolitan Oval (Met Oval) a New York City team. I had some friends on Metropolitan Oval but at that time we were frenemies. It was a great game. At halftime it was 0-0, no one scored. Later in the second half my friend Semir on Bethlehem shot and the keeper saved the ball. Semir, my friend Dylan and I tried to rebound the shot. Semir got there first. He shot the ball and scored. 1-0 our team. At that time Metropolitan Oval was a big and great team. Later in the game someone, I don’t know, on Met Oval shot and it deflected off of one of our players and went in. 1-1. It was very intense. I got subbed off and watched the rest of the game. But later in the game my friend Sadie shot unexpectedly with his left foot and scored. It was 2-1. I felt like a boulder got lifted off of my shoulders. When the final whistle blew, I ran on the field, hugging and laughing and relieved to not get kicked off the NY cup. After the game our whole team went to a restaurant /golf course to celebrate our fantastic win. Around a year later the owner of met oval stopped paying the coaches so the good coaches left which lead to every good player leaving as well.
When I heard the news about Bethlehem, how everyone was going to a different team, I was sad and I thought I wouldn’t see my teammates again. Our bethlehem team broke up because we were getting older and u 12 has another coach. Now I play for a team called DUSC, downtown united soccer club. I think Bethlehem is better than Dusc because all the good players from bethlehem went to a team called the Albany alleycats. Dusc played the alleycats and the alley cats won 2-1. I rarely go upstate and never see my teammates but, I have seen some since. One moved to Texas because his dad got a good job offer and the last time I’ve saw him was at a tournament in disneyworld.
If I had my druthers I would go back in time to prevent this from happening but the past is past.

Single point perspective blog post
In art we are perspective drawing. We have been drawing a horizon line and a vanishing point. Everything you draw has to connect with the vanishing point. This has been a little challenging but mostly fun. We have been making street drawing with buildings and sidewalks and it is very fun. I think this piece is my best so far this year and I’m very happy with it. The hardest thing about transitioning from shapes to streets was the jump. I wasn’t prepared because I missed a class and at on second I was doing shapes and the next was streets.

are humans following the rules?
This link goes to a article in dogo news that I studied.
This paragraph is what I think about the article. The article is about a person that wants to check the stars and planets to see if there is life on them. He is a Russian billionaire named Yuri Milner. I think this rule goes with diversity is life. He is checking if diverse creatures really do exist. I think this following this rule.

Science Operation Manual
In science I’m making Operation manual. There are 4 rules so far.
1. We’re all in this together
2. Everything is connected to everything else
3. All populations have a limit
4. There is no such place as away
I’m going to explain number 2. Plants connect to Animals and Humans. Plants need carbon dioxide so they can breathe out oxygen. Animals and humans need Oxygen to breathe out carbon dioxide. Plants and Animals are both food for humans. Plants are food for Animals.

exit polling
On Tuesday my grade and I did a exit polling project on the NY primary. We went up to people who voted and asked them who they voted for, their age, ethnicity and other stuff. I was surprised because our estimates were exactly right on the dot. We weren’t to confident with our estimates because this was just a little neighborhood in the big New York State.
I learned that everyone who votes might not be too happy with who they are voting for. For example I interviewed someone who was very unhappy with who he voted for. He voted for Donald Trump.

math
I think that I have made a lot of progress as a mathematician this quarter. One area of strength for me this quarter has been multiplication, long division, and prime factorization. Long division and multiplication were my weakest topics so I raised them. I have trouble with decimals and factors, they can be sometimes confusing. Numbers over 100 can be tough to find all the factors.

Tomb Painting
This is my tomb painting. It is of a person in Ancient Egypt feeding a goose. In ancient Egypt they thought that animals were sacred.
