This is my drawing of Pelicans center Demarcus Cousins, former Kings player. This was drawn when he was still on the Kings. This was originally going to be David Ortiz but I changed it mid-drawing. This shows if you make a mistake, you can always turn it into something good.

A strategy I have is I can make people come into traps that I win piece wise. An issue I have as a strategist is that I should probably look over the moves ahead of me more thoroughly so I can end the game quicker. I won all of my games but I have played chess before so I might of had an advantage. It was a lot of fun and I’m grateful that Larry and Dan took us.

on In chess, you draw up a plan according to the situation in front of you and in Battle you do the exact same. There’s defensive and offensive strategies, and each person has a different strategy. It’s the same in battle. There’s kings who are the leaders in battle and if a king gets taken in chess, you lose. Knights have their own special movement that no one else has.

I think this was a good first try. I could of done better now that I know some tricks. First of, I should of taken out all of the men on the rear. I learned that the archers shoot first before you send melee attackers to wear down the army. You stop shooting when you melee attack because you don’t want to take out your own men. I would like to study being part of the cavalry because I think I understood their role easily than the rest. I can’t wait to do this again.
on My topic was the Louvre. A goal I completed while doing this was doing well on research and finding the right things about the Louvre. I also think I managed my time well . The colors and the numbers refer to different lines. I learned that the Louvre is the largest museum in the world. My favorite part of this project was when we shared our projects for specific reasons.(cake)
on I would like to name this work of art Self Portraits. I created this work of art by using colored pencils, ink, watercolors and pencils. Some of the things I learned while creating this was that even if you think something’s bad, you can still keep it as a resemblance as hard work. Another thing I learned was how to use india ink. My favorite part of the portraits was when I drew them was when I got to use india ink. I thought that was fun because I thought it was cool that you could add water to dark ink to make it lighter. If I could change something, it would probably be to redo my self portraits because I think I should’ve spent more time on them. While I made this, I was surprised how much work I put into it. My drawings might not look the best, but they have lots of hard work gone into them. Something else I would like to share about this is we also had a drawing kept blank and it wasn’t colored in. It was just your self portrait in black and white.

This project was for Halloween and we had to look at the picture that we got and find things in the picture and write adjectives about them.

My crest is blue because I think my family is loyal and truthful and that is what the color blue signifies on any coat of arms. I chose the Latin word Assistentes (Assist) because I think my family is willing to assist anyone in need at any time. An example is that in the sports I play, I assist my teammates to help them score. The goat at the top is there because goats are my favorite animal. I think that my family is very courageous and that’s why I chose the lion on the shield. A time I showed courage was when I had to get a X-ray on my foot and it was my first time. I also chose a star because I think my family is very noble and excellent and that’s what the star means on any coat of arms. A time my family was noble was when my dad brought me my Xbox games from Connecticut and I wished that I could be as giving as him. I made a dagger because my family honours the military and justice.
on When I was at Ashokan, there were things good and things bad, but everything was better than last year. One of the bad things was that when we were canoeing, I got splashed by the Ashokan instructor and the water went all over me! A good thing that happened was when we were doing trivia and Dan gave me a hard Pokemon Go question and I answered it correct. It turns out I was the only person in the room besides Dan who knew the answer. I found that out when a lot of people came to me asking “How did you know that?” and also when I asked the kids who play Pokemon Go and they didn’t know. I think that Ashokan was better than last year because we got to do better activities and the ones that were the same were better this year.
