Value Eye Drawing Reflection

One of the biggest projects you have to take on in seventh grade is drawing your eye with value and different types of pencils. In this project, you are introduced to six different drawing pencils that are called 6B, 4B, 2B, B, HB, and 2H. To start this art assignment you have to do the following: stand on a chair and look straight while Rohan takes a picture of your eye, you get the picture of your eye in print form, next you make a borderline to where you are going to draw your eye using the 2H pencil, then as you continue you eventually would have used all six different pencils at necessary times.

Up top is a picture of my finished drawing. I am really satisfied with the final result and proud because when I started I doubted myself and thought I wouldn’t be able to do it. There are some parts I would tweak, for example, the shading around the eye and the coloring in of the pupil.

Blue is the best color

One of my favorite art pieces is my perspective water color. The reasoning to that is because before I didn’t know how to perspective draw and then I learned and thought it was cool. When we got to the water coloring part you had to pick a color and stick into that colors scheme. If you couldn’t tell my color was to stay in the blue scheme. Some parts of my water color has some purple but to be honest I thought that the color was close enough to blue. One thing that I would do if I had more time would be to sit down and try to make different shades of blue. Also, by doing that I think I could have different shades of blue and make it not all the same color. First we started drawing it out with pencil, then went to water color, next you had the option of using color pencil if you wanted in your piece. Here’s a picture of my final water color:
