This picture was take on the surry
This summer some of my friends and I went to Governors island. We left early in the morning to take the subway over to the ferry. There was a really long wait for the ferry but when we finally got on we rushed to the front of the boat. Once we got off the boat we rented a surrey. It was a lot of fun.
The treehouse
After the surrey ride we went to a park that was by the ferry. This park had a tree house made of reused materials. There were swings made out of old rubber and a slide made out of reused tin and metal. All the wood was reused from other buildings. Near by the tree house was a mini-golf course also made out of reused materials. When you are getting the clubs and balls you only pay as much as you like and all the money donates to the company that made the mini-golf course and treehouse. The mini golf course was really cool and each hole had its on theme. That was my adventure at Governors island.
My favorite hole
This summer I went to Coney Island with some of my closest friends. First we had to take the subway to the last stop then we walked over to the boardwalk. At the boardwalk there was a man with a snake and a really nice beach. Then we walked over to the ticket booth and got our wristbands. As we waited for the bands we looked at all the rides. The first ride me and my friends went on was the log flume. The line was a really short wait. We got really wet and the pictures were really funny. We went on all the upside down rides and played games for prizes. For lunch we had food in the park. Then we played more games and went on more rides. My favorite one was the upside-down spinning airplanes. The airplanes were a lot fun but scary. The last thing we did was go to the beach. We played in the sand and swam in the ocean. At the beach there was a woman selling ices and we all got some. There was a sprinkler that looked like a palm tree and a jungle gym. After the beach we went home. That was my adventure at Coney Island.

The hotel in Orlando
This summer was the first time I went to Orlando, Florida. I went with my sister, my grandmother, and my cousin. One of the places we went to was Universal Studios. It took about 30 minutes to get there and once we got there we were shuffling through crowds and then we made it to Diagon alley which was part of Harry Potter world at Universal. The alley looked exactly like it did in the movies. One of the things that caught my eye was the dragon on top of Gringotts which appears in the Deathly Hollows pt. 2. The dragon also spit fire!

The next thing we got to do was go to platform 9 3/4 to get on the Hogwarts express. That would take us to Hogsmeade which was a town near Hogwarts. In the 3rd Harry Potter movie on the train a dementor boards, the train to the ride to Hogsmeade was based around that part of the movie.
