When you were in lower school, what was something that you were excited about for fifth grade? How do you feel about it now that you’ve done it? I was excited for the responsibility of having my own locker and managing my time.I feel different then I did before because its hard to manage homework and be organized.
What was something about fifth grade that you were a little nervous or worried about? How do you feel about it now? I was nervous about how much homework we might get.I was also nervous about spelling . I feel more relaxed because we don’t have to much homework as I thought.
What is something about which you are still a little nervous or worried? What might you do to feel a little less nervous or worried? I am still worried about spelling because I have trouble with spelling. I could practice spelling more to make myself less nervous.
What is something that you haven’t done yet in middle school about which you are excited? What are you excited about it? I excited about all the studies like the Egypt study.
My first composition
This is my first composition. In music class we have been working on adding a 3rd instrument to our pieces. We needed to have a smooth melodic shape. I am very proud of it.I hope you like it!
Population of the world graph
I choose to make my graph this way for a reason. The population started out slowly and then I think when they started traveling they couldn’t grow their population.Then I thought that once they had settled they had time to grow humanity.Ana said that in 8,000 B.C.E the species was at 5 million so I had to change my graph a lot. Before I had just drawn a line going straight up but it was wrong.
History of the world chronology
The activity we did in social studies was put the time periods of the world in chronological order. One of the things that confused my group was that some things happened around the same time. Therefore we didn’t know if we should put them together or figure out which one started first. Also were having trouble with agreeing on where things went.My group realized that seasons came after the moon because the moon creates seasonsI learned that not everything happens right after each other and events overlap by doing this activity.
Math Categories
I noticed that two of the graphs in group A have sharp edges and clear lines. But one doesn’t fit into any of the categories and doesn’t have clear lines.I also noticed that some people didn’t connect the dots in their graph. Another thing I noticed was that some graphs started in the corner while others started in the middle. Those are the things I noticed when looking at these graphs.
My Atom
This is the atom I created in tinkercad. The red ball in the middle is the atom. The white balls surrounding it are the energy.This is how I imaged the atom to be like. It was hard trying to figure out what I was going to make my atom look like but once I imaged it in my head I came up with this.
