The thinking behind my photoshop project was for it to resemble the Powerpuff girls. I wanted to recreate that but with my friends instead. I began with asking my friends what background or pattern they really liked. I asked this because I truly wanted it to represent them as individuals. The drawing themselves are from an old photo I had taken with my friends. I used this photo because it brought back memories of when we used to take photos at the park. I hand drew the different photo’s and then imported the images on to photoshop in which I began to color them and design them how I wanted. I made simple blocks of color because I wanted the true personality to come through each character. In my poster, I used color, pattern, proportion, balance, and contrast. The color was a big part of my poster because I chose to block out colors instead of shading it. The pattern was in the backgrounds for Meadow and Milei. I proportioned each of us to our real height (in comparison to each other) because I felt that was a big part of being able to recognize who is who. I used balance by making sure and measuring us to have an equal amount of space between each other. I used to contrast it a subtle way. I made certain aspects of Meadow, Milei and myself very recognizable. Meadows red shoes, My Adidas jacket, and Milei’s green sweatshirt. To anyone that doesn’t know me and my friends personally might not pick up on certain things like that but for our classmates, they would know which is which.
