“DON’T GO UP THE MILKYWAY WITHOUT ME!!!!!!” This summer I went to my first ever sleep away camp. PVC stands for Pleasant Valley Camp. PVC is an only girls camp but there is a brother camp right next to it called North Woods. I went with my friends Cloe and Milei. It was a fun experience especially since everyone would yell, chant,sing and scream every breakfast, lunch and dinner.

hall with my cabin mates ( Mac Hall is where we eat). Each cabin has a name, our cabins name was Nova. The other cabins were named Aquarius,Lyra,Polaris, and so on. The first night that you get there you choose your schedule. These were our schedules

The Milkyway is a steep trail going up a hill to reach Archery and Horseback riding, I had to go up and down the Milkyway 4 times a day.
My favorite part was the ugly counselor contest because we had to make the counselor as ugly as possible and give them a character. The counselor that my cabin did was Camille,she is the one with brown hair and tan skin in the cabin photo. Even thought we didn’t win the contest I was still laughing so hard that I couldn’t breath by the end.
When I went to this camp at first I thought that they were crazy but…. They grow on you and before you know it you find yourself joining in. I can’t put how much fun I had there into words but I definitely plan on going back.
